Boracay 2

Updated: Jun 1, 2021

For my second day on the island, I decided to visit Puka Beach. I got curious about this for years and I'm excited to check it out for myself.

Before I went to Puka Beach, I walked around Station 2 shoreline and just soaked up the morning beauty of the beach. I was so happy to have visited the island after its rehabilitation because I got to appreciate the cleanliness of the beach and how it is not as crowded as before. I spent a few minutes there and just enjoyed the scenery. I can hardly explain the words to describe how beautiful God's creation really is.

I booked a motor driver for my trip to Puka Beach and I paid Php400 for the whole trip. Going there took around 20 minutes. We passed by Station 1 and different barangays along the way. I had my breakfast there, and I was super stoked to see puka shells anklet. I was looking for these for months and I got so excited that I bought ten haha!

I looked for solace place, far away from people, and stayed there for a total of 3 hours, just under the sun, reading a book (Letters of Solana by Joena San Diego), listening to music (Star Encarnacion's Spotify Fave Worship Songs 2019), and just talking to God and crying to Him. What a peaceful moment that was!

Sharing with you a page of the book I read during my entire stay there. Joena is one of the authors I really admire and she writes so well that it's like she puts the words right out of my mouth; right out of my heart.

The great thing about words is that they can touch one's life and can speak life and hope to the reader. That is why I really take pride in my book collection.

I do immerse myself in the wisdom I get from books. I just enjoy absorbing wisdom.

It was lunch that I decided to leave the beach and went to Citymall to cool off and have my coffee.

After I finished my coffee, my driver was hinting that he was already hungry for lunch so I decided to go back to the hostel, get some lunch myself, and rest.

It was out of the spur moment that I decided to get another tattoo. I recently befriended a local tattoo artist and got a cool discount. I walked from Station 2 to Station 1 to reach that tattoo place. It was nearing sunset that made the 15-minute walk bearable.

I like the fact that this tattoo parlor had a lot of colors to choose from so I decided to get two. One colored (red-green-blue) and one in gold.

It was my first time getting a tattoo here in the Philippines. I usually get one out of the country. But since I made this trip out of the ordinary, I decided to get another tattoo (or two) to celebrate that trip.

Tattoo place:

Inked Souls Boracay, Station 1

This was one of my favorite tattoos up to date. It represents God's light in all of life's darkness.

I won't share the other tattoo 'cause it is kind of personal ;)

As of this time, I already have six small tattoos in total. I have a few concerns about the design and size of some of my tattoos but never did I regret to have them all. I consider them as my ink scars that remind me of everything that I went through and it somehow symbolizes my relationship with God. Yes, all my tattoos are faith-based.

This sums up my second day on the island and I just ended the day curled up in bed watching a movie, getting myself excited about tomorrow's adventure!
